Rule of thumb is a gallon and half.
Tho it's not always a good idea to let a car run too low lol.

No real way of knowing without experimenting, as even similar models will differ slightly, and vary again with driving style etc.

Put a spare can in the boot, then see how far you get. Try not to choose the third lane of the motorway to run out. ;)

Oh, and no doubt someone will be along to say it's a bad idea because you'll suck in all the rubbish at the bottom of the tank. :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I always thought I had a 65 litre tank until I read the handbook and discovered it was 70 and Iwas working on 30 miles at that point.

Personally I would work on 30 unless as has been suggested you test it with a can in the boot.

wouldnt recommend running it dry, it stirs up all the gunge which has settled over time from the bottom of the tank. possibly cost you a lot of money in thelong run for repairs
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

i have this arugment with my dad

He says dont do it, i say if you let it run down frequentley the stuff wont build up, so when you really are low on fuel in an emergency there wont be a build up of stuff to cause you problems

"If you you don't enjoy Top Gear then you have lost the will to live" :p
