cheers, just opened an account. spent so long messing around with their last 1 year bond, that my money kept being rejected from it, due to direct debit issues. Luckily, I will use the new one instead!0

Might take a look at this one tbh - I was going to go for the 6.85% option not too long ago...Glad I waited now!John

There seems to be a problem at the moment with the site. You can get to the page I linked to above in post #4, but when you click on the Apply button, you get a 'Page not found' message. Probably a temporary problem.
UPDATE 11.15 : Seems to be OK now.0 -
If both annual and monthly option have 7.11% AER, will I get the same if I go for the monthly option and have my monthly interest paid in the same account?0
-
If you choose the monthly option you have to have that interest paid into that savings account to enable an AER of 7.11%. It's called compound interest.
The only advantage of taking the monthly option is that you can see it accrueing each month and if any errors have occurred in the interest you've been paid it's easier and quicker to resolve.0 -
Thanks, I have an existing e-saver Birmingham Midshires account, and I was just opening this new 7.11 fixed rate account. However, I still have to link my current account to this. Before I hit confirm, do you know if I can easily transfer from my existing account to this fixed rate account?0

Doesn't seem so
Can I transfer between my accounts online?
No, this is not a current facility. Please call our Savings and Investments Team for more information.
