Broadband..

For Broadband is it correct that you need some certain card in your pc? and do all new pcs now come with this card?

    you need a network card or usb if you have cable broadband (standard on all recent pcs) or a usb port for other broadband connections.

    any pc in the last 3 or 4 yrs should have at least a usb port and certainly a network card
    I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

    Or a Ethernet socket in your PC its faster than USB, if you can see a socket
    like the one below on your PC you dont need a card.

    PCI Etherenet maybe installed in your PC

    You more than likely have an ethernet card already installed if your computer is fairly new. Check Device Manager, it will tell you if you have one. On my computer I've just reached it by Start/My Computer/View system information/Hardware/Device Manager - I know there's a quicker way but I've forgotten how to get there!
