yes, you need the recipients bank details, then phone up your bank.

I think you need to be registered for your bank's telephone banking.
This is slightly different to just phoning them up.

i think it depends how much. If its a large sum of money you will probably have to show photo ID. I had to do that when sending money to my currency broker, though my signature didn't match my 8 year old passport so i was told to forge it, i love the way banks try to protect against bank fraud
