Is anyone else in N Ireland fed up with restaurant deals that either don't include us (example - the £6.99 deal currently available in Pizza Hut, but not in Northern Ireland) or for chains that we don't have over here, like Zizzi??, Wagamama, Yo Sushi, Ho Ho, Giraffe, Yates, ...... I could go on and on.....

Perhaps the restaurant chains that ARE represented here could make more of an effort so that N Ireland moneysavers can dine out as economically as those in the rest of the United Kingdom?

I for one will not be supporting Pizza Hut until they treat us like the rest of their customers - and that includes my two teenagers and all their mates.

One of the few ways I've found to cut costs of dining out is to use the Tesco Clubcard deals system - which has at least managed to include some N Ireland restaurants - well done Tesco, keep showing the others how its done.
Northern Irish customers seem to be getting a raw deal, thankfully the recent Pizza Express atleast were valid.

I printed off the page from their website showing the 2 for 1 on fajitas, the kids go free and the Xmas meal side by side, and when I went into the Watford/Garston branch I showed them the page and asked if the offers were valid and I was told they were, and the lady explained them to me.

Therefore my husband and 10 year old son both had fajitas, and my 7 year old boy had a Junior (kids) meal and I had an adult meal.

When the bill came it was huge. It had both the children's meals and my younger son's dessert along with all the other things that were supposed to be there.

My husband queried the bill, and they removed my younger son's dessert as it was included in his meal, and the older one's fajitas, but they wouldn't remove the younger one's meal as they said that we couldn't have 2 different discounts on one bill.

I pointed out that no one had mentioned that when we enquired when we entered the restaurant, and also that if my husband and older son sat at one table and had one bill, and my younger son and I sat at another table and had a separate bill we would have had both discounts. They agreed this, but said that as we hadn't asked for 2 bills we couldn't have the 2 discounts! How ridiculous!

I can understand that if my husband had come with the 2 kids he couldn't have used his fajitas meal to get discounts for both children, but as there was 2 adults it should have been allowed. I have checked their T & Cs and there is nothing to say we couldn't use both in those circumstances.

The restaurant was also almost empty that night and it still took ages and several requests to get refills of drinks, and the desserts took ages too.

I tried writing to them, and they didn't reply to my letter properly - talking about lunch and it was dinner, and not responding to my points.

As far as I am concerned this is VERY misleading and I shall be reporting them to Trading Standards and the ASA!

    Be warned!!

Beware of Tootsies 2 for 1.

It is only 2 for 1 burgers nothing else. Last time they had the offer on we had a sharer platter and a burger and they refused to give the burger free. Despite spending nearly £13 quid on the platter. Its says on the coupon "only burger" but be aware.

Also they stick 12.5 or 15% on to the bill as service charge.

The service charge at Tootsies is optional - it should say that on your bill so you choose whether or not to pay it
