Now something has been puzzlng me all evening. Martin has rabbit ears, buck teeth ie easter bunny theme etc......but I don`t get the sheep in the background....they are`nt even lambs that might signify spring! ....but sheep

I am glad Quasar changed the salutation the second time around. I was a bit worried where bum page was going on a family forum...

Merlin. Extending yourself to places like this is an ephemeral thing. We nearly all use nom de plumes and those can change at a whim. Some of us use many at one time. (I hate the concept of sockpuppets BTW - it's simply pathetic and the reserve of shallow egotists). But I consider some of the people on here to be friends. They are people that I care about. Think about when I am driving to work. Want the best for.

I don't know very much of them at all really. Not what they look like, where they live, what they dress like etc. Unlike my "real world" friends (yes, I do have one or two...) The only thing that glues this friendship is a name and percieved identity.

You have friends here Merlin. You would lose them in an instant if you changed. It's part of what you were and what you are now, good and bad. I think you should stick with it.

Finally, because this is the trolls thread and I need to get back on topic...
Beware the sock puppet. The one who has been reading and posting here in good faith for ages and knows what the issues are. They are the ones who can post with a new name and really cut to the bone. Peka2 was one of these IMO.

Think I better explain. I read the ET thread that was posted on the DFW board earlier that got moved somewhere to another part of MSE I hadn't been in before so clicked on the link so was, erm, just making light of things having seen it. And I have a thing for cosmological things. Everything, really I can understand, learn about. Knowledge is everything, thus I expand those boundaries. Sometimes I do 'push' but only to explore beyond those boundaries, to achieve a greater understanding. Even reading MSE, any forum I learn through and from.

But, no, don't worry I won't ever change. Though that temptation has been placed there before now shall we say. I am neither light nor dark but something else entirely. I am the change, the wind. A studier, but a seeker of more knowledge than I know what to do with half the time. Guess that's my way of saying I care about everything and everyone I encounter.

That's a long winded explanation of the very complicated equation of 'me'.

I shall return the thread to normal service now I think.
