Oh I have my natural home in DT but, being an adventurous and intrepid soul, I often stray into uncharted areas... ;):rotfl:

Can't get much more uncharted than this. :o

Unfortunately a lot of people this year might need that "chart".

It is nice when people from the rest of the site "pop in" (as long as they are not having a go). People on this board may be in some trouble. but we are still human.

As such, it is fab to see you pop in. :)

As I have posted on a couple of occasions elsewhere, many months ago I was around late at night surfing the main forum when a title caught my eye in DFW. I went in and this newbie was posting in obvious distress at his (or hers) wits' ends, talking of topping himself. All I could do was reassure him that someone knowledgeable would come in sooner rather than later and offer proper advice, and to be sure that help WOULD come, as I had seen many users getting out of financial trouble thanks to this site.

What else could I do? You can't just ignore someone like that, because maybe, just maybe, they are five minutes away from an overdose.

I've also seen newbies being torn to shreds by users who doubted their post and I think that's harsh, as I believe that giving the benefit of the doubt doesn't cost anything and might help someone.

    Interesting comments Quasar,

Anybody posing questions about bankruptcy on the DFW board back in 2006 could have done with a friendly face; I don't remember (m)any.:rolleyes:

Awwww. :(. This is a money saving site. People come in here for help, not to be talked down or judged, but there you go - many users who have never been in trouble like to ride high horses...

Hi Everyone....good to see MSE back & working....not sure of the point of showing how many `thanks` given others though.:confused:

Nice to see you keep an eye on us Q ...carefully Honey you`re in danger of becoming a `regular`!!!!! ....I know what you mean about some of the `desperate` late night posts...its the worst time of the day for stress & worry. Its impossible to read something where you know the OP is so distraught & just read & run.
