To tell you the truth I drink very little. A glass of red of an evening is all I ask for. When I go out I might have a glass of wine or two, but seldom anything more. I enjoy myself more if I don't get tipsy, let alone pass out lol.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

This place has changed since I joined 2yrs ago .... to me thought it seems for the worse lets hope i'm wrong
I find myself, as usual, in complete agreement with both you and BAT on this one, phil. As you may have noticed I have not been about much since the 'thread' on DT.
It certainly seems that 'trolling', in the form of 'BR knocking', has become the new 'sport' of those who really have nothing better to do than to try and exact some form of sadistic 'pleasure' out of the misfortunes of others.
I hope, for their sakes, that they are blessed with the 'hindsight' that they so freely advocate to us. Without the actual experience of bankruptcy, and its effects, they are totally unqualified to 'sit in judgement' and should think very carefully before commenting on our situation.
I don't, however, think that leaving the boards completely is, necessarily, the best solution - the overwhelming majority of posters come here because they genuinely need the help, and support, that a board like this can truly give.
Much of this 'help and support' can only be given by the more experienced posters such as Fermi, BAT, Richard and yourself.
Withdrawing this 'avenue of help' could, in my opinion, leave vulnerable posters open to the vitriolic misinformation that these 'trolls' seem to delight in extolling and this would, inevitably, turn their already difficult experience into a true nightmare scenario - in short 'handing victory to the trolls'.
I have, myself, made a decision to limit my posting only to positive threads, such as this one, and to threads where I genuinely feel that my own advice or experiences can be of real benefit to the OP.
You are right, phil, the board does indeed appear to have 'changed' over the last couple of years, but it's really only the likes of us who can prevent it from degenerating into the anarchic chaos that the 'trolls' would love.
So stick with it lads (and lasses) - together we can be a force to reckon with.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi Rog.
Hope you are well. Agree as usual also.
This board is always moving along & as you know is dealing with very difficult subject matter. We keep plodding along you know....personally its more about the emotional rather than the actual debt stuff.
Debt can be sorted...dealing with the fall-out of emotions is infinately more difficult & a wrong word or comment can be devastating.
Oooops ...forgot the BUMP !!!:D0 -

Oooops ...forgot the BUMP !!!:DThey claim their labours are to build a heaven, yet their heaven is populated with horrors. Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made?
Its too late, always has been, always will be.
Too late!0
