Pepe - yep, he declared me fit for use  :rotfl:
Ooh must watch Hugh, although must admit to sympathising with all the grey squiggles near me as I've been watching them stocking up for winter. Would still try them cooked though, do you barbecue them with a nice marinade?
The good thing about a Squirrell is that it saves on the hazlenut stuffing...very MSE:rotfl::D stay wonky

:rotfl: Yum! Am hoping to be MSE for lunch, there's a big meeting going on along the corridor and we usually get the buffet leftovers.. if so will save what I brought with me for tomorrowDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

That sounds good - I'd rather have sarnie leftovers than stewed squirrel! My (early) lunch has been very mse, but I *fancy* something else, and I'm off to Tesco soon! Oops....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

No sign of buffet leftovers sadly, so it was Tesco lasagne and rocket for lunch - very nice! Hope you found something good Karma.
Soooooooo bored this afternoon, have exhausted the Freebies board, printed off all the 2 for 1 meal vouchers from Martin's email (I'll probably not use them, but at least I've got them).. and that's about it really.
Pouring with rain outside, and I'm not sure what's happening at the weekend.. sigh.
Edit - should put something positive in, I entered a competition for flights to Barcelona, that would be good!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well, the afternoon went from boring to annoying - thanks to one of our senior managers changing the rules as it suits her. Been put in a position which makes me look stupid and the whole organisation look unprofessional, and am still angry about it this morning. Am still at home at the mo, deliberately going in late to try to avoid phonecall from the 'customer' affected, the people who are causing the problem can deal with it... do need to leave soon though as even with flexi-time I need to be in before 10.
To add to that, I found out I have a massive mobile bill from last month (my parents pay it from their account as I couldn't get credit, and I pay them back) - knew it was going to be over the contract amount but I didn't realise quite how much. Most of it due to OH being depressed/ upset/ angry/ insecure etc etc and having to talk him round... great, eh, emotional upheaval and it costs a fortune! I don't grudge it at all, but it does make things a bit awkward, luckily don't have to pay it all back at once but will need to try and sort it out.
Today will be spent doing the bare minimum of work, possibly emailing manager re the work situation if I'm brave enough (it's not really the done thing there), and having a serious look at my budget for the rest of the year. Oh thats a not a good start to the day! I think you need to budget yourself a treat there.... I did yesterday, just a little one - sweet waffles in Tesco, 6 for 49p, I *love* the smell of waffles. They burn in my toaster every time, but I don't care!
OH sounds very down right now, thats got to be affecting you, and of course the professional issues. I hope you can get that sorted soon, horrible to have that affecting people's view of you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks Karma.. waffles sound nice!
Have gone over and over the work thing with several people and although I'm upset, the fundamental thing is that it makes the whole place look bad. It involves dealing with complaints which I think is one area we really need to be fair and consistent in. The manager in question is fairly new and obviously trying to make an impact - and in fact I agree with her view on things, but the way she's gone about implementing it (i.e. not telling anyone) is so wrong. Anyway, she's not in today so going to put my points together for next week.
Have done my sums taking into account paying back the phonebill and this month looks like - 20 days to go till payday, £60 left
Sort of wishing I hadn't booked the trip away next month now.. but too late to change that so just have to deal with it.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Ouch, thats not much. Hope you manage it without charges! Writing out your point of view on the work thing will help, I'm sure.
Right, off to London now... have a good Friday!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Squizz, can your OH not help with the phone bill? After all you were helping him through a tough time and I am sure he wouldnt want to know that you are suffering financially through helping him.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
