Anyone staying with Atlantc?

I have been with them about 5 years and pretty happy. Thought about changing a few times, once because I suddenly got a high electric bill which I couldn't account for but a lot of it was wavered in the end. They now owe me ££££s for my electric. gas has gone up though.

Anyway, as they usually send me so much a year for loyalty, I am wondering with prices going up if it is still worth sticking with them?

I was with Atlantic, but am about to swap to BG with their Click5 tariff - it looks as if I will be saving 17% over the latest Atlantic price per Kw (10.25p)

After many years with Atlantic I switched to Scottish Power capped until 2011 plan some weeks ago. Prior to switching I contacted Atlantic to ask if they offered a capped plan and was told no. Although I am now paying more for energy through Scottish Power I changed for peace of mind, cannot afford a huge jump in the price of heating etc so settled on paying a little more each month anticipating that Atlantics prices may overtake Scottish Powers prices over the next year or two.

All the capped plan is up to 2009 these days. If the price did go up in few month time, I don't know if there's any savings if I were to pay 17% more for the next 12 month.

I recently arranged on line for my electricity to switch over to Atlantic. I recieved a letter today telling me that as of next week they will be supplying my gas. Not bad as I asked for electric. I have only recently changed my gas too and am currently with N Power. I phoned N Power today telling them that I did not want Atlantic to take over as my gas supplier. Unfortuantly they are unable to block the request and I have to move over to Atlantic, although I can move again after Atlantic have taken the account over. Not so sure I can trust a company that can,t even get my request correct.

I have done exactly the same as you Jeff.Quite happy with Atlantic but as you say, better to try and avoid the big rises.Remains to be seen whether their customer service is as good.If only atlantic did a fixed price i would have stayed.

Atlantic never bothered to reply regarding fixed prices so I jumped ship to N Power for a fixed.
