I just tried with slippery bakewell paper and the mix made the paper fold inwards so I took everything out and did it again by cutting slits in the bottom of the piece that goes around the pan. What a palaver. There has got to be a better way. I think I`ll e mail lakeland and put liners on a wanted list

Why do you want to line itThe coating is non-stick and should stay that way for years.

i use the parchment paper - I assume this is what you are using? I just cut a large piece and place it centrally into the pan and fold the larger overlapping bits over the pan and pour my mixture in. There's a knack but it does work well. You just need to ensure you are using enough in order to fold and play around with it. When pouring your mixture in, you may need to just use one hand to sort of hold the pan and paper and with the other hand just pour the mixture in but if the mixture is quite stiff, I just spoon it in.
I love making cakes in mine - which one are you doing?0 -
fruit tea bread
that`s a good idea Jenny re folding the bits over the pan. It will probably work better if I put the pan into the panasonic then fold over and I can always cut bits off after putting the mix in the pan
I knew there would be someone on here with a good idea0 -

hee, hee - it took a while to fiddle about with the idea but it does work :T the size I use is the total width of the hob on my cooker, pick it up and place it centrally over the pan then with my hand over the paper and over the middle of the pan, gently push down, it will look a bit odd but it works.
oh, the fruit tea bread is to die for. it's my favourite.........0 -

it is the pan inside the panasonic breadmaker. You take the paddle out and it can be used to make cakes
The tea bread is gorgeous and I did an energy costing with my trusty meter. It cost 5.8 pence to bake. Now that is a BARGAIN
Jenny my parchment paper is 12" wide. Is yours wider?0 -

Hello
I recently purchased a new panasonic breadmaker, next to my iphone its the best ever piece of kit.
Ive made a couple of Apple and Ginger cakes in it and both were to die for, bloomin luverly, moist and sweet, full of flavour.
My question is this, i cut and place some greaseproof paper in the breadmaker, its not a perfect fit but keeps the cake mixture away from the hot walls. When i pull the cake out its full of creases and folds where the paper has been. I know its petty and meaningless but does anybody have tips on how to make it fit snugly?
Nick
PS: Do any of you have any recipies for cakes that i could get stuck into?0 -

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread to give you more ideas.
Any chance of the apple ginger cake recipe, please
