Now.com A Real Bargain?

Having seen the adverts for 'Now' wireless broadband it started me thinking: does this sound the death knell for land lines and the start of real broadband / voip bargains?
It has always struck me that the free and cheap phone calls offered by Skype et al aren't really much cop given the aggro involved in using voip and considering that you still have to have a landline & broadband connection in the first place! As the line rental from BT always makes up the lion's share of my phone bill, I thought why bother saving a few pence on what are pretty cheap call rates anyway?
But with this new service from 'Now' being rolled out across London, there appears to be the option to have a wireless internet connection without BT, nor any other fixed-line or cable provider coming into the equation. Which, in turn, means voip finally sounds attractive for everyday use: No line rental and no call fees (just the broadband subscription).
Is this too good to be true or is there a catch?

I wonder how much coverage they have? I put my postcode in out of interest and not available in my area. I put my parents' postcode in (and they're in London) and again not available in the area.0
