got some mre of my order just now, but still awaiting loads

I agree discoduck it's much harder to get anything from the directory sale if you don't have a vip slot this is because all the directory staff get 1st pick then the couriers and then the vip slots and then finally the people who ring or go onto the internet on the morning of the sale.

nothing for me today, my courier usually delivery b4 12 noon so doubt ill get anything today, boo! hoo! getting really frustrated now, but glad u got something today,:T

the couriers dont get vip, my courier moan every sale that theres never anything left for her. so i mentioned i heard couriers get vip slots as it was mentioned on here last yr and she said shes never had one and shes been delivering for as long as i remember. Ive had a directory for 6 yrs and its always been her delivering

Out of 5 items that I ordered, I received one pair of jeans yesterday. Not sure when it was delivered as I only found the parcel when I was watering my flowers at the front in the evening! It's the first time I've ordered from Next so no idea who the courier is!!

what a load of poo! sorry but have to say it! just to put this silly myth to bed no one at next gets to pick from the directory sale before vip, no not even managers or couriers! shop staff only get to pick pre sale in their own stores but there is a limit to how much they can have too. so thats it! vip do seem to go crazy and buy a lot but then a lot will get sent back the same with stores lots gets returned in the days after so its worth having a look.right my rant is over!!

My Courier def gets to order a day or 2 before the VIP sale starts. She says it's one of the perks - and why not - the shop assistants get to pick their sale items the day before the shop sales start as a friend of mine works there.

I get really fed up with delayed orders too. I ordered a bottle of Kylie perfume on the first day of the VIP sale ( first slot at 5.00pm ). It still hasn't arrived and wanted it for my daughters 8th birthday TODAY!!!

Can't imagine Next would have been inundated with orders for Kylie perfume but I guess you never know......

I went into my local Next yesterday and picked up a bag full of bargains - some things had been reduced down further. Got to stop looking now - dread to think how much I've spent altogether - but hey at least we've managed to wear the summer clothes I bought lol !!!!!!!

I'm still waiting for 3 or 4 items from the sale. Really pleased with everything I have got so far. My courier delivers before 8 am!

I used to work for next directory in leicester. The sales are always really busy which is why they extend the delivery time on orders it just gives the warehouse and couriers a chance to catch up as they will be dealing with a mixture of sale stock and also new stock from the new directory.

The way the system works for availability of sale items is that just before each sale the warehouse does a stock take to allow us to tell how much of each item we have available. If we have 500 of one top going into the sale the first 500 people will be told at the time of ordering that the item is available and you should then recieve it. Next then prodict that out of those 500 a certain amount will be returned within 1-2 wks, 2-4wks and so on. Sometimes it happens that we do not recieve as much of the itm back as we expected which is why you are not guarenteed to get the itm if it shows a delay.
With items that are returned back they will not go back on the web site they go back into the warehouse where they are steamed repackaged and sent out to anyone who has that item showing as a 1-2 week delay.

In recent years some of my order has been confirmed out of stock after 4 weeks. Now I know why. I can always tell when something has been to someone else beforehand and that marries up with what you say about the delayed items. I only seemed to get four items through so far. My last delivery of three tops were screwed and rammed in my letterbox. One item is in such bad condition its going back. If I get it rammed in my box again the courier might find it screwed u in theirs lol:rotfl: :rotfl: :A

I don't want to get into an argument as I only posted this info to help others who are worried about their deliverys but I worked for next directory for 4 years up untill April this year and I can assure you that every bit of info I have posted today IS correct an IS NOT A LOAD OF POO:mad: :mad: . Next directory staff get a copy of the sale listing around a week before the sale starts and are able to place there orders to get first pick this was one of the perks of my job along with the staff shop and discount. Couriers are then suppost to get 2nd choice followed by vip's and then people who ring on a sale morning!!!! I know the staff in the shops are not able to get anything until the morning of the sale this is becouse they are the retail side of next and I worked at the mail order side the 2 sides are compleatly separate even though they have the same name this is the same for the way they are paid and the way their bonuses are worked out!

You seem very quick to acuse me of lying but I can assure you this is how it works and you don't seem to mention how your version is the holy grail. Oh and there is no limit to how much any employee is allowed to spend either just on how much they return.

I am sorry now that I ever posted what I thought was helpful info on here and it is also a shame that some people think they know everything about everything and try and shoot down those of us that are just trying to help others. If people don't agree with what others are saying or believe a different senario there are polite way of saying so not pratically saying that person is talking a load !!!!!!.
