Hi all

I used to work for next directory in leicester. The sales are always really busy which is why they extend the delivery time on orders it just gives the warehouse and couriers a chance to catch up as they will be dealing with a mixture of sale stock and also new stock from the new directory.

The way the system works for availability of sale items is that just before each sale the warehouse does a stock take to allow us to tell how much of each item we have available. If we have 500 of one top going into the sale the first 500 people will be told at the time of ordering that the item is available and you should then recieve it. Next then prodict that out of those 500 a certain amount will be returned within 1-2 wks, 2-4wks and so on. Sometimes it happens that we do not recieve as much of the itm back as we expected which is why you are not guarenteed to get the itm if it shows a delay.
With items that are returned back they will not go back on the web site they go back into the warehouse where they are steamed repackaged and sent out to anyone who has that item showing as a 1-2 week delay.

thanks for the info about delivery time scale, a bit worried that i wont get my orders through now, even the instock items, its been over a week now since my first order and only recieved one item, keep my fingers crossed, but thanks very much,

glad you agree with me, im very dissapionted too, some items in stock, some items 5 day delay the rest 2-4 weeks,some items will be no good as will b looking for autumn clothing by then,might ring them today and see what they say, good luck with your orders,

Next junkie give next directory customer services a ring they will be able to tell you if the parcels have been held up at the warehouse or if they are with your courier. If the customer service advisor has no info on her screen she will raise a query with their courier department who with trace the parcels on there system and then call you back. This may take a few days because they will be busy but it might help put your mind at rest.

ive just rang cs and they said even though it was stated at checkout that items were in stock (sale items) they have to come from different warehouses and this means longer for delivery, ive just got to wait, ah well i will just have to hope they arrive at some piont,thanks for your help.

after buying stuff at the stores....im never gona bother with the directory again

the sizes rnt there...the colours rnt there...and to top if off...the vips buy everything anyway ....so its like...the point of hanging around for the directory sale is??

i went to the bristol cribbs store on tuesday and there was still soooooo much stuff in the baby sexction,,,,its like....where is the next madness
