Mix conventional and condensing boiler

Hi
My house is a large modern spread-out (ie. long hot water run) single-story barn conversion.
Out of range of mains gas.
It has 2 x Potterton Profile 100e wall-mounted boilers (9 years old - & fuelled by bulk LPG) with external flew which power the central heating and Megaflo CL250 hot pressurised water system leading to 5 bathrooms (each having pressure showers).
We are careful to keep the hot-water circulation pump off whilst the hot water is not required.
We are careful to keep all heading radiators off or on lowest setting.
The system uses 1,500 ltrs of LPG per cold month (around £600pm at current price)
And 350 in warm summer month. (£126pm)
Other months in between as expected
Obviously this is horrendous.
Is it possible to replace one of the boilers with a condensing boiler (say 30kw) and leave the old conventional one off except for high usage.
Ie. Can I mix balanced boilers? (connected in parallel)
Please can you advise me?
Regards
