Anglian Water... DD not SO

right well I don't give my details out to any tom !!!!!! and harry for DD's as they lose stuff and I don't want some mug in Thailand having my bank details...
so what I do, when I get my bill, is pay them what I'd be paying on DD but as a SO.
However, I've been threatened with court action...
my call to them......
So I am paying you more than what you'd be getting via DD
But you've not got a DD set up so you have to pay half up front
Me.. so first of all, you're the only utility company to charge up front but you don't accept SO instead of DD despite the difference being one payment is initiated by me and one by you so what is the difference.
Them you have no DD in place....

I am waiting for them to take me to CC when I can prove that I am paying them not only up front but the same amount as their Direct Debit would be.,......

So how are you paying them at the moment? If they send you a bill, and you have no other method of payment in place, then you should pay it. Otherwise, you will end up ever so politely screwed over in court.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

Could you not request an instalment book from them, then set up your standing order to pay the amounts and on the dates stated in the book?

Having worked for UU I would say that the above answer is 100% correct. You have to look at how a computer system will look at your account and what your bill said........your bill (if you are not on a water meter) is due on the 1st April (half now half Oct 1st) if you are planning to pay this over a period of time you need to let them know this and they will set you up on a payment plan (as above quote if they do not accept SO then take a payment card or stub and just set up a standing order with your bank)

As mentioned ask for a payment book, you can pay at a Post Office,Bank or a shop that has the Pay Point system installed
