  • SO remember I said yesterday I had all that palava with the quiz for the bare shop, then the shop isn't there any more. Well I obviously emailed to tell them and have a reply this morning thanking me for the info and that they will remove this shop from the list, and I will get 50% of the shop fee. Should I stand my ground and say I want all of it?

They have been good to me with other shops after I did that credit check one for them last month.

I would do, it's not your fault that the store has moved?

I must admit Timmne, that I have never asked for a premium on any mystery shop I think I will do on GAP jobs cos the pay is rubbish. They are also the only I company I have ever worked for that has ever failed to pay me for a shop.

Oops - If I ever get rang for an ms I always wait for them to increase the premium (I hold timmne entirely responsible - he gave me the idea :rotfl:).

Right on a serious note - how can I get hold of someone at Gap? Does anyone have a number? If the site really is down until Sunday I can't do the shops - so I best let them know.
  • [quote=Timmne;12219459]Actually my moan about GAP isn't totally substantiated. I had a call from them yesterday asking me to do a chicken job....

I've had a mail from them this morning saying that I'm not allowed to do chicken jobs anymore:

"Following good practice measures, our clients require us to continually provide a broad range of shoppers to complete their evaluations; therefore we periodically review our shopper database."

    "
As a result of this practice, we are now unable to offer you any further xxx assignments. Your help has been greatly appreciated."

Not that I'm particularly bothered as I don't eat the chicken anyway, my OH does, (plus I'm starting a "proper" job in four weeks time anyway) but there's always that nagging doubt that you've done something wrong

    I'm feeling a bit unloved :(

I don't think it's the case, have you done a lot of shops for them, I seem to remember some others losing the burgers as they had done so many.

I had that after i gave a bad report for a clown burger shop which i wasnt that bothered about as i dont like their greasy food but liked the premium that was always on in my area.

Then about 6 months later my boyfriend got the same one after he gave a bad report for the same company albeit a different site so maybe if you gave the last one a bad report thats why they did?

Willowthecat - I got one of those emails from GAP but about their pizza jobs - quite coincidental really as I was just about to join a gym to lose some of the GAP/pizza flab!

That's made me feel a bit better Timmne thank you :kisses3:, although I'm certain I've done more Pizza ones than Chicken ones in the past, so maybe I'll be banned from them soon too

Damn! This means I'm going to have to get the Delia and Jamie books out now and do some proper cooking for the OH instead :D

That's a terrible thought - give a good report or you get sacked!

The problem is though, that's what GAP are like, especially with the burger ones. If you dare say anything bad, you'll have them emailing you for clarification, more info and more specific times, and that's before the client gets the report - then the questions get worse.

However, if you submit a perfect report, good timings and great service, you'll get paid no question.

Why are mystery shoppers here then?!

cookinmummy - someone said a few pages back that Gap's number is listed in the Australian phone book and you could call them on that number. Depends how bothered you are about letting them know when they have decided to do their maintenance a day early without letting you know!!
  • GAP are notorious for it, it's so so wrong but who do they think they are kidding?

    I would try Suzan.Izzet@gapbuster.com

    She has always been helpful.

Well my last report wasn't an A* star one but it wasn't that bad, although I did get a snotty e-mail because I said that there was a small pile of dirt by the front of the counter which hadn't been removed - which was true! Maybe it is because of that

So if that is the case, then it all goes back to the "what is the point of mystery shopping if you daren't report any negative aspects of your visit?" debate.
