The mystery shopping thread - part 4

I've just gone through the sign up process for a number of these companies and yesterday received an email from one saying they urgently wanted people with an active current account with a particular bank. There were a number of other jobs in the email so I guess it was a standard one sent out to everyone, but because the first job was 'urgently' wanting people who bank with the bank I had registered I thought it had been targeted at me.
Anyway, when I enquired they said you have to be earning over 14k and since I am not working I don't qualify. So my question is simply - is this common? Am I going to find I'm ineligible for a lot of jobs because I'm out of work?0 -
Nope - it's just part of the demographic requirements of some jobs. Also, the job mya have been for a loan application (or PPI), in which case without income of >£14k, you probably would have been declined and therefore the job wouldn't have gone the way they wanted it to.0

you'll often find that there are requirements that might mean you cant do the job. I was finding I couldnt do some last month because I didnt have health insurance, didnt bank with the right people, didnt work enough hours, wasn't an existing customer, made mortgage overpayments etc etc! on the other hand there were lots of other assisgments I could do. dont worry0

Ok thanks, I'll go and think about something else now and try not to worry! I hardly slept last night and I think part of the reason was worrying about this email - I only received it late last night and I've never done ANY mystery shopping jobs so I was all psyched up thinking this would be my first! Never mind.0

is it just me or does anyone else dream mystery shopping scenarios now?

I did that one too.
Not only did I have to virtually unpeel the guy's hand from my arm to get out of the shop again, the questions were pretty tough.

Can't accept any of the electrical shops with Gap, put them in the basket and then come up as cancelled/rejected!
Same here. Anyone else had the same problem?“A banker is the fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining and wants it back the minute it begins to rain.” Mark Twain0 -
scroll up a few posts guys. a few of us already mentioned about this! but yeah it seems that no one is able to accept them - all get rejected.0
