as blindman says, it could depend on the file size, so might be worth shrinking the size, or it could depend on your browser, or they could have a glitch on the system!
I'm thinking that it could be a glitch with their system as I'm having no problems accessing other sites, or even their site, the problem seems just to be accessing that particular page.Competition Wins :j :

I feel like I am a proper fool! Having real problems with these applications - I think it just seems like they want a lot of information from me when I don't even know if there will be any work in my area, and it's getting tiring!
I am doing the application for Amber Arch now and they want me to put in details of a recent shop visit. I know this is stupid but can someone please advise me how much detail they want? The first question is describe the member of staff. Well, the most recent visit where I interacted with a member of staff (other than just going through a supermarket checkout) was about 4 days ago and I didn't take note of her name because I wasn't expecting to be tested on it! I feel like not knowing the name will look bad on the application, but if I was doing it for real I would have noticed it. Is it ok to just say I didn't take note of the name?
Oh and while I remember, thanks to everyone who has given me advice on this earlier in the thread - I really appreciate it.0 -
I'm sure it'll be fine to fabricate aspects of your recent shopping trip, SC....just make up a name for the member of staff or give a description.
I think they're just looking to test you on spelling/grammar, and see what you mention. The level of detail is really up to you I suppose.0 -
OK - I have a stupid question
What does "You can not shop the same site twice in a row regardless of the shop month" actually mean?
I already have a shop booked at a particular branch with a different scenario in 2 weeks time. Now another shop has come up at the same branch for this weekend......its very local so I can I do it or not?
I would ask them but understand their notoriously bad at replying and I'd love to know if I can accept it asap.
Ta v. much!
I'm assuming we're talking Gap here. Try and accept the job - if you're not allowed to do it, it wont be added to your portfolio. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Johnny - I'll give it a try!0

That sums up my experience as well, but everything will come good - Fortunately, as the tickets were on a credit card, all is fine as the bill doesn't need paying until after the next pay period...
Thanks you all for your comments on pay - I'm feeling a bit happier about it now!
Hope you all get your missing payments soon!
I'll keep my fingers crossed I get everything in one go.When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present....we experience heaven on earth. Sarah Ban Breathnach0 -
{said with sarcastic tone} Wow I'm sooooo lucky!!!!
Just had a phone call from Gap and I've been talked into doing some mobile phone shops and a pizza delivery in the next few weeks.
As I've helped them out he said they'd help me out and I've been given a couple of petrol jobs. One of them, I have to purchase at least £10 worth of fuel and spend £1 in the shop and get reimbursed £11 and no fee; the other one, I have to put in a minimum £10 of fuel and only get reimbursed £8 and no fee - and I'm meant to be grateful that he's given the jobs to me??
I know I'd have to buy fuel anyway, so at least I'm getting some of my money back, but to not pay a fee is downright slavery!!! (Christiano Ronaldo take note)
Oh, and he also allocated me a stamp shop job that I told him on the phone I couldnt do 'cos I was on holiday!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks so much Taggie and Tractorgirl
I tried adding the shop and it accepted it! And then realised the scenario for both is the same - it's another branch that has a different scenario! Oops.........hadn't expected the system to accept it. Hope I don't get the same member of staff in 2 weeks then
I might email them and see what they say.......and any suggestions appreciated
--- Just had to vent -- spent ages trying to print out the darned stupid visit info!!!! Used the lovely FF download to preview in IE and it looked fab. But would only print 1 pageSpent ages fiddling and eventually managed to get it done in my very old no longer supported copy of IE for the mac - AFTER changing the printing options so it looked oh. Phew, am knacked already...... seemed like a good idea at the time! Why can't they sort their system out???
