Needed a PayPal credit transfer to hit my Bank today - it did!
Nope, it didn't make me rich, but it did make me solvent - 'nuff said.If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

I read something a friend sent to me today, someone who just like all of us, has his battles to fight, his future to find, and his regrets to remember, it included this:
‘In so far as the battlefield presented itself to the bare eyesight of men, it had no entirety, not length, no breadth, no depth, no size, no shape, and was made up of nothing except small numberless circlets commensurate with such ranges of vision as the mist might allow at each spot…. In such conditions, each separate gathering of soldiery went on fighting its own little battle in happy and advantageous ignorance of the general state of the action; nay, even very often in ignorance of the fact that any great conflict was raging.’Alexander Kinglake (historian) 1809 - 1891It got me thinking, how in a way it applied to this MSE Forum, where each of us, each through circumstances, some within and in many cases outwith our own control, are fighting our own individual battles and skirmishes with what life has thrown at us.Yes, knowing there are larger battles and wars going on, real wars, famines, brutality, economic crises, but still knowing we have our own battles to fight and hopefully win, small battles in the grand scheme of things perhaps, but no less challenging. But in my short time here on MSE - I have recognised - as I am sure many have before me, that we don't have to fight life's battles alone, others will pitch in, stand alongside, lend an ear to your troubles, and offer advice and help based on their experiences. This forum is not, and never will be perfect, (lol, I hope it never is - far far too boring and clinical if it were) - but there is good all around us on these forums - and that good, that crucial essence of what we call humanity, a willingness to reach out and help another, happens on this forum not just today, but every day.***********************************
It's all around us, isn't it? Right here, right now! :T
