I would like to join in your challenge too if that's ok? I have 3 final debts to pay which I can't wait to get rid of and this might motivate me to keep overpaying!! They are:

    Capquest - £631
Essex and Suffolk Water - £173
    Westcot - £1150

I will also aim to get all of these paid by Christmas!!

I have decided that I am going to work at these debts in order starting with the smallest. I should have an extra £30 tomorrow to pay this debt and then my normal £25 payment comes out next week anyway, am going to look for some stuff to sell on ebay and amazon to try and pay this debt off within the next 3 weeks and then I will just have the bigger ones to go!!!

Morning everyone - Ive been a bit quiet overpaying this last month as I now have double nursery fees for the next 6 weeks so havent had any 'spare' cash but made a payment of £50.00 to Dotty P yesterday so owe them around £350.00 now - want to get the total down to less than 2k by the end of July ie this week so wish me luck! x

    Yoo hoo Penguin

I've found you!! Sorry for not popping on earlier.

What a good idea for a thread....Good luck to everyone and I hope you all succeed.

Penguin Hun....You're doing really well and I'm sure you will achieve your target.....one down two to go.

Bit of a shame about the nursery fees but the target of £2k before end of July is a good one...so only £48.12 left......Good luck.

Are any of your utilities/insurance etc up for renewal so you can earn a bit on Quidco? I know it takes a bit of time to come through but perhaps this would help towards the following month?

Hugs to you and keeping fingers and paws crossed

Yeay - well done JP - its sooooo good cancelling a card!

I managed to pay another 50.00 on july 31st making it sub 2k by the end of July (even if only by a matter of hours!) With a bit of luck and a good push I should be able to clear this by the end of August just leaving the bigger MBNA one to go! x x

Wol - thanks for popping in - I really must get the utilities sorted as I have never changed suppliers and could probably save myself a fortune! x x

    Morning everyone!

Have joined in emilys payment a day challenge so I am on target to pay off dotty p by the end of August which will be 2 out of the 3 gone. That will leave MBNA with a balance now of 1975.89 (interest for 2 months gone on) so from Sep 1st so will have 116 days to clear MBNA which equates to 17.03 a day so it is do-able but will be tight! x x
