3 debts in 6 months

Hi everyone - I have been plodding along ok on the DFW wagon but things aren't moving as quick as they could be and Ive started sneaking the odd takeaway, mag, lunch at work etc soooo I have set myself a challenge

I have 3 annoying debts that I want to clear.

Comet - 153.43
Dorothy Perkins - 398.12
MBNA - 1850.00

Total - 2401.55

I have set myself 6 months to do it (which coincides with the dreaded 'C' word) and did a similar challenge last year which went really well.

Feel free to join in or give me some hints and tips along the way! x x x

Hi. I would try setting yourself a weekly shopping budget and if you come in under budget pay the remainder off the debt with the highest APR (as well as making regular payments to clear the debts).
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

  • Hey i know you can do it, why not look at the £10 a day challenge, and use the extra for that.

It means I have definately got to stick to my shopping budget but I have £65.00 to spend tomorrow and only 6 days till the end of the month and payday - yeay! xx

just lost one reply to your thread....my internet is driving me mad.

I think your challenge is a really good one to keep motivated for those overpayments. I know you will make this target by christmas. Part of me is disapointed i dont have any smaller amounts to overpay left. it was always good to motivate me.

really glad to see your total under 40K while i have been off the board.
