It was costing me a fortune to pay my teenage daughters mobile phone bill. When contract ended she switched to Vodaphone pay as you go. I put just £5 on on a Monday, which then entitles her to totally free calls and texts ALL weekend. She can talk and text to her hearts content all weekend.

btw, the calls are restricted to 1 hour to xnet mobiles and another hour to landlines. Same net is unlimited, as are texts, as far as i know.0

You have to make a Minimum of £5 worth of calls/texts between midnight on Sunday and midnight on Friday to qualify for free weekend calls and texts.
So to qualify for these calls/text regularly your need to top up by at least £260 a year. Thats nearly £22 a month. Hardly Free whatever way you look at it.
For that sort of money you can get a decent sim only 30 day deal.EG T-Mob 500 anytime, anynetwork minutes and unlimited texts.

Well its a good deal for us , my daughter can talk all weekend with no worries about having a huge bill, only £5 on a Monday.0

Not Free though as suggested in title if it costs £260 a year to obtain.0

my daughter used to b on this pay as you go from vodaphone too, but for £20 a month she gets 600 minutes of talk and unlimited txts (any day of the week) and as it's a rolling contract there's no lengthy contract. You are paying £5/week anyway, wouldn't she be better with this. Even better, she can name 3 of her friends and they can all talk to each other without losing any of their minutes (under 60 minute calls)4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

If you top up 10pounds a month every month then you may as well go on the sim only deals these days, topping up whatever amount is false value, unless your using that 10 pounds rarely and only need it for emergencies/0
