Similar story with me. Applied for the interest free deal to Nov 09, declined but pre-approved for the May 09 deal. I definitely meet all their criteria for 'excellent' credit rating as defined on their website. Also have access to experian/equifax data and all seems fine on there too. Recent experian credit score was 999.Tempted to tell them to stick the deal they are offering. The credit limit of £1000 is also pathetic. May apply for a different credit card
If you decide to apply for another card, it may be an idea to avoid Barclaycard and Citi. These two operate a similar rate-for-risk policy

I too applied for the November 2009 deal, passed the 'excellent' credit rating but only got offered 0% until February 2009 then at the 19.9% after. I plan to use it for a specific purchase, clear it before February then cancel it!0
