Help with changing ISP & phone provider pls

I am currently with Pipex Homecall on their 1mb Broadband + Anytime Calls for £24.99 p/m. I pay BT £10.50 for line rental.
Total = £35.49 p/m

I have had no problems at all in the past 3/4 years but realise I may not be getting the best value for money.

I am thinking of going to O2 for their 8mb Broadband with free wireless router with NO connection fee@ £7.50 p/m and back to BT for their Anytime Calls package @£4.95 p/m + BT line rental.
Total = £22.95 p/m

Pipex have sent me my MAC number.

I am puzzled as to how I coordinate closing down my Pipex account and starting my Broadband account with O2 and the Anytime Calls package with BT.

If I was going to sign up for a bundled telephone/broadband package I would be O.K.

If you have a MAC you need to use it within a timeframe, call O2 and give it to them when you order as they cannot process a BB order without it if you have a provider on your line, then call BT and tell them you want to change to that package. You pay BT line rental at the moment so there should be no problems, do you have a BT account number?

Yes I do.
Have ordered the BB from 02 as a new PAYG customer for £7.50 p/m.
Went through Quidco for £25 cashback.

As advised by Paulk I will ring BT nearer the BB activation date and take up the £4.95 Anytime Calls package.

You could also sign up to 18185.co.uk and get cheaper calls by using them as an over rider.
