I believe they changed the times from 7pm-8am to the new times 8pm-7am. I might be wrong on the 8pm start it may still be 7pm.

Daytime is 0600 to 1800 Monday to Friday.
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

First, it's not ALL evening and weekend calls which are 'free' (included in the charge you pay - which isn't free at all) - it's only calls to UK numbers with STD codes which commence 01 or 02.

Second, the 'free' period is 1800 to 0600 Monday to Friday and 1800 Friday to 0600 Monday.
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").

I think the w/end "free" period ends at midnight Sunday.

    from the BT website:

"BT Together Option 2 and Option 3 additional conditions:
Option 2 zero-rated calls apply in the Evening (6pm - 6am) and at Weekends (Friday midnight - Sunday midnight) only. Call charges (3 pence per minute in the Day and 1 pence per minute in the Evening and Weekend periods) apply after 60 minutes on each zero-rated call. Zero rated calls apply to voice calls only. No minimum charge applies on zero rated calls."

I know that 18185 1899 etc do the same (ie cut off at midnight on Sunday). Recently I had cause to query a 18185 call charge to a mobile which commenced before midnight and ended after, because although it was a continous call the rate jumped automatically once midnight had passed from 2p to 10p/min.......

Incidentally I received a reply e-mail within 12 hours of my query!

Surely that condition is a nonsense if weekend AND evening calls are included in the 'free' package - or is it just me?

Evening calls (which, by definition, includes overnight calls) run until 0600 - so the fact that a 'weekend' may end at 2359 on Sunday is irrelevant because the 'evening' aspect lasts another 6 hours.

I agree....... :) - which is why I queried the charge i had from 18185.

I think the point is that the "weekend" ends at midnight on Sunday.....and the "weekend" definition overrides the "evening" definition...although I was charged 10p/min after midnight it's impossible to tell whether this was a peak rate or evening rate as they are both the same on 18185!!
  • BT just moved evenings from 6pm back to 7pm...
