I bought a yellowed sticker one the other day, it was lovely.
I just put it in the slow cooker with about an inch of water and left it on low for 8 hours. When cooked I just pulled chunks of it off the bone and we had it as you would a roast with spuds and root veg etc.0 -

chuck it in a slow cooker with a little bit of water (about a mug worth) and an onion chopped in half & i like adding a few herbs depends on what you like.
cook til the meat is falling off the bone and then you can do hundreds of things with it (okay might be tens of things)
i'm sure pink will be along with the other thread about it soonNonny mouse and Proud!!

i dont have a slow cooker either - i just put it in largest pan cover with cold water bring to boil - then drain off that water (sounds wasteful but worth doing as it saves skimming scum off all the time also cleans the meat) cover again with cold water bring to boil then simmer fairly briskly for a couple of hours. keep checking the pan and top up with boiling water from kettle if it goes below top of meat. then - to serve i would make tomato and basil sauce and serve with veg of my choice ....or chips .....or cold with new potatoes and salad or in sandwiches.0

Year's ago before my slow cooker was born, I used to put it into a small roasting tin with a lid, sprinkle on some mixed herbs and dried onion and add a small drop of water then cook with the lid on at Gas 2 for 3-4 hours.
To maximise oven space I cooked a rice pudding alongside and some carrots in water in a covered casserole dish. Mmmm this was comfort food to die for. I remember feeding it to a domestic science teacher friend for Sunday dinner. She didn't know what it was, but thought it very nice:rotfl:
