Hi when did you apply? i applied over the weekend and havnt heard anything as yet no message or anything,i rang them and they said they send answer by post whether you are accepted or not

Still nothing in my Internet Banking or letter from them.

Hi,

I wouldn't worry, we had to wait ages for ours, and we have other accounts with them. Might be worth a phone call to them tho. It came eventually prob took 3-4 weeks at least tho.

3-4 weeks? what on earth where they doing for that time?

When I applied, I rang up a couple of days later and got the decision there and then. They may have referred your application for further consideration... be patient.

Hi,

After a while they phoned and went through security questions, they had our postcode wrong so refused to speak to us! Then had to send stuff through the branch etc .....

hi i was refused i rang them today,it anoys me as my credit score is excellent on experian but have a lot of debt but i was going to pay two store cards with it never mind hey?

Hmm,

I had a similar prob with capital one I applied a while ago for 0% til may 09 they offered my 0% til Feb 09.....not what I was after!

I think we got HSBC cos have other acounts with them. But we've never been customers of Cap one.:mad:

Got a letter after 2 weeks saying to call a 0870 number mon-sat.

Called on Sat and the office was closed

Called on Monday, told to go the bank with the passport!

Went to the bank, told it wasn't necessary to call back the number

Rang again the 0870, Indian lady told me to go at HSBC branch with passport. Argued with her and spoke with supervisor.

Indian supervisor told me to go to the branch with payslip

Spent my meal break on a queue with 2 payslips just to be told that they required 3 consecutive payslips.

Got only 2..so I told them to f@@@ @@@!!

Yesterday I got my third payslip....I may change my mind and try again :-)

I love HSBC
