Which is best - LG Viewty or N95

Hi, Not sure if this is in right place - sorry if it's not.

I want to be able to check my ebay sales on it most days,so want something good for the internet and easy to read ( big screen and writting etc )

If anyone as got either the LG Viety or N95 please let me know if you think its good or not.

For browsing the Internet the Apple iphone is the best option, especially the upcoming 3g version!

LG Viewty is a bad phone.

It's slow, the screen will get damaged and dirty very quickly.

The touch screen is a novelty so don't be drawn in by it.

I'm stuck with one now for about another 6 months and I can't wait to get back to a "traditional" mobile.

Thank you very much for the information, I do think its the novelty of the touch screen that making me want one. Do you find it easy to do text message? The contract would be for !8 month, and I dont want to get stuck with something I dont like.. So I think I should stay away from the Viewty

Do you or anyone reading this know of any other good phones for getting on the internet with? I was going to stay with 3 as Ive never had any problems with them..

    Thanks again.

Can't comment on the LG, but can on the Nokias.

One issue with the N95 is memory... if using the std browser complex sites cause the browser to crash. Also difficult to have many apps running at once. I experienced this on a N80 which has the same ram, although the N95 has later sw which may help. Alternatively use opera mini which works very well.

far better IMO is the "N95 8Gb". This has more RAM (128Mb instead of 64 Mb) which means web pages work far more reliably and you can have quite a few apps running at once. (the 8gb is flash storage for music etc). It also has 30%+ better battery. It's also great at all things web, But it is a large phone still.

IMO it's currently the best all rounder on the market especially for techies. More flexible than iPhone which is (apparently) easier to use for mere mortals ;-)

You may find you get a good offer from 3 (I got a stonking one) when it comes close to renewal.

I would go with LG viewty. this is the touchscreen mobile with 5.1 megapixel camera with auto focus anad image stabilizer. go for LG viewty. it sounds good.

It's like any tool - choose the best one for the job.

If you describe a little about what you want from a "phone" then it may be bit clearer what might match the best...

For example I am a reasonably heavy sophisticated techie data user... for me the N95 8Gb is great, but for others it would be totally the wrong size - poor weight, battery life, size etc.
