If Boots are your local chemist you may want to give EFALEX a try it contains
    Vitamin E10mg
    Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)120mg
    Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA)26.8mg
    Arachidonic Acid (AA)10mg
    Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA)24mg
    Thyme Oil 2mg

You can see that the DHA is higher than the EPA as in the MORDHA produce you really wanted. Pricewise it's £18.99 for 240 and on 3 for 2 so 5.27p a capsule so 4 of these at 21p would work out cheaper than MORDHA.

I expect someone else will be know where you can get the MORDHA but I'm sure, if you really want a higher DHA ratio the EFALEX would provide a reasonable substitute.

  • There is a thread at the moment on kids drinks. I think Toothsmith said on there about the necessity of avoiding sugary(including fruit sugars) between meals, but at mealtimes the teeth are having a sugar attack anyway so you can be more lenient. However, Ihave just tried sardines and why not give them a try-nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Hi apologies if this has been discussed else where, I have checked...
I am wanting to start my two on Omega 3, have tried the capsules - both tried to do impressive choking episodes, and tried the chewable bursts which they thought was equally horrific.
Next thought about the liquids. What do other people use?
Boots own Omega 3 liquid is on a buy 2 get 1 free offer at the moment. I am just wary of spending a fortune again for them to refuse to take it.
Oh, we eat salmon twice a week, and yes I have disolved the capsules into food - but they sometimes smell it!!
    Thanks anyway

I give my DS the Bassett chewy ones - bit like gummy sweets, they are one a day and he has his with breakfast.

Tried the liquid ones and he gagged.

Venison contains Omega 3 too so maybe substituting a meat meal with Venison would help...

Both mine use the eye-q capsules, the little one did the chocking senario at the beginning as he had never ever taken any capsules before, i just carried on persevering (sp?) with it and they now take 6 capsules a day with no problems.

My two have Haliborange high DHA concentration omega 3 orange capsules and love them. I think they taste horrendous, but they love bursting them with their teeth _pale_ and then swallowing them.....

I must say the change in DS's behaviour and concentration has been fantastic. They're both good at eating Mackerel, but he has really settled down since taking it.

I buy them from Costco where it's about £18 for 270 capsules which is a good price.

I see that Haliborange also do ones called "twisty fish"....
