    I've been Money Tipped! Newshound!
Not sure if this is of interest to anyone but I have an Ulster Bank account and their faster payments service is fantastic. I transferred £10k to my Halifax account and it arrived immediately. Much better than Halifax faster payments service.

I made a single instant payment yesterday from my Nationwide Flex account. Sort code 07 01 16.

Thanks for that news on FlexAccount, evenasus. When did that happen? It would have been nice if Nationwide had told its customers...

    It would wouldn't it.
I only found out when I made the payment and the message that the receiving bank had received the funds came up.

They can't win though ... people moan because they haven't been told ... but if they sent all their customers an email or letter every time they made a small change like this, people would quickly get annoyed and say that Nationwide was contacting them too much!

Although a FP sent to Barnsley BS doesn't usually show until the day after (with the FPayment date) I'm finding that isn't true if it is sent, say 9pm.

I sent money at 20:57 on 8 April by FP and it didn't show yesterday. Today it shows as a faster payment, credited to the account on 9 April. So not truely fast in that there is a one day delay when sent at that sort of time or later.

I suppose the same will be true of YBS.

Tesco has the best FP system I have experienced and tesco is not a bank. The banks/bulding societies I have used, Barc, Hal, A&L, Natwest, and Santandar are very poor

All are still in the darkages.
