New PCIe Graphic Card not detected

You are plugging the monitor into the new card aren't you?but still when i reboot it activates the on borad and still no sign of teh pcie being recognised0 -

i have plugged monitor in the new card both outputs but no luckWins so far:

ok on-board ati is it likely to be ati1250 chipset?, i have an abit that was a !!!!!! with this chipset, can you tell us which psu you bought?
Also what other devices in the system such as hdd's cpu and any addon cards such as tv card or usb devices?
i suspect the psu is just not up to powering it all up.click here to achieve nothing!0 -

Previously it was running a 250Watt PSU
Now a 580 PSU (hiper power)
all i ahve is the Inno3d graphic and took out nwtwork card modem as needed space for the cardWins so far:

make sure you have all powers units connected ie full 24pin on mainboard and cpu 12v power connector as well.
Sorry but just to be sure of procedure make sure you
go into bios and set vga priority to pci-e,
exit bios saving settings
as the system starts before windows loads kill power to machine.
insert 8800 and attach monitor lead to position 1
Make sure you switch off or unplug mains power when inserting cards as pci/e slots carry power even in system off state.click here to achieve nothing!0 -
