Ok guys
i bought a 8800 Gta nd a new power supply to support it
mounted the card changed the PSU and boot the system, power gets to the card as the fan goes but windows cannot detect it.
I have a onboard ati card currently
i have mounted teh card several times, checked bios and its set to boot from PCIE if detected...flashed bios also
When i try to install the nvidia drivers i get no hardware was detected for these drivers and insatllation halts.
Please any suggestions?

Normally you will reset the graphics to 640x480 and 256 colours. Read the manual to disable built it card and follow instructions. Power off. Remove graphics card, install new card. Restart pc and it "does not find" any g/card and install any drivers, it picks up on the 640x480 settings you provided, it just works to give you a screen. Download the latest drivers from the web and install them. Reset settings to match your screen size.0

He's not insutling your intelligence, it would probably get enough power from the PCI-E slot to power the fan. But it would require the power from the additional power connector to power the actual board. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
well i did connect the adequate connetor form the psu to it
i have a pin converter that also came with it so i will check this one too on a different power lead just to make sure
