When I was at the CAB I check on our system and in our CPAG Benefits and Tax credits book and it appears you can only claim for more than 3 months backdating if you are entitled to the disability part of the tax credits.
So I am afraid as I said before you haven't got a chance! I will refrane from making a snide remark because I wouldn't want to lower myself to your standards!0 -
i haven't read all of this thread but needed to reply, i am quite disgusted that the OP so many times throws it at us that they were looking after their newborn hence why they couldn't claim tax credits, let me tell you OP i was a young, single, teenage mother, living 70 miles away from anyone who i knew, in the deep depths of depression, being verbally attacked by my ex partner and generally going through a rough time BUT i looked after my newbown AND claimed tax credits, it was hardly hard!!
You have got my goat up OP :mad:0 -

Do I ring them and ask what's going on or not bother? What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

I would firstly give then a ring and ask why they have only paid you from June 4th.
When did you send the forms to TC?
If you get no joy, go to the Citizens advice bureau and they will be able to advice you further, if necessary ring TCs on your behalf.0 -

Hey, Thanks, I rang them and apparently I didn't state that I wanted back payments. How stupid is that? No where on the form was there anything for that. I'm sure of it. But it's all being sorted now which is lovely. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
