Virgin BB Free Router

Im posting this more as a thank you than anything else, so that if anyone else needs this, they can check it.
After going through a couple of threads it became apparent that the main way to get Virgins attention is to threaten to leave.
I have been with Virgin for 2 years now, only using their broadband package. I was told I was paying for an 8mb connection, however even though I live 0.5 of a mile away from the exchange speed tests are reaching 3/4mb at best.
Anyway, main thing is my old modem must be crud, so I decided I would try and get Virgin to give me one of their free wirless ones, the ones they give away to new customers. However, I was told by generic customer services that I would be required to pay £40 for it.
HAVE NO FEAR THOUGH, it was at this point I read the threads, and went back on to the phone. I got myself put through to disconnections, explained that I had two issues, first being the wireless router which O2 could offer me for free (at time of writing) and the price being £18.99 per month, compared to £12.50 per month for a similar speed on O2.
Im sure if I pushed further I could have got a discount or rebate of some sort, but after talking to the nice rep Ive been told my router is in the post, should be about 5-7 days.
Yeah, so, storys over. If you havent got one, what are you waiting for. Go Now!
