another 24 hours on ......

only once out of 10 attempts to get 300 posts from the search facility has worked

about 3 out of 20 attempts hace worked to get 200 recent posts from the normal chat facility

probably 5 out of 6 attempts to get 15 recent posts has worked.

Overall... wasting too much of my life. !!

As I say - effectively the board is on its last legs. We are as we speak looking at new software and it is the priority of the techie team - my fingers are crossed we'll have it up and running with in the next four weeks - but im not promising anything

stick with the site - don't over use the search.

The new boards will be much more customisable

If using the 500 last posts annoys you so much why don't you find another method of viewing the site?  Personally I go the boards that interest me most and check the threads that I have an interest in.  I can't be bothered reading all the posts on the last posts facility as most of them would have little interest to me.

Could'nt agree more! I'm just happy this site exists, let alone beefing about not being able to see the last 500 posts.
