My orange contract is set to expire on June 22...

Orange said my contract will end on June 22, I was just wondering, what happens to the number? Will this be transferred to a PAYG orange number?

Your contract does not expire, the minimum term does. If you do nothing, you will continue on the same price plan that you are currently on.

The number will be lost. In time (6 months +) it will be recycled and issued to someone elses new phone.

If you want to keep it ring Orange back straight away and cancel the cancellation and ask for a PAC. This is a code that you can give to another service provider to port your number over.

One other alternative is again to ring Orange and ask them to transfer your number over to an Orange PAYG scheme.

You need to act quickly as you could (may already) be too late.

If you don't want to keep the number then please disregard all of the above!
