WH Smith Clubcard - Scheme Finishing

Was in my local WH Smith today in Essex where they told me that the Clubcard scheme would be finishing shortly (date unknown). Seems that sometime in the near future they will be emailing registered customers with money-off vouchers instead. I know this started to happen elsewhere in the country before Christmas.

I've had a WHSmith's clubcard for years, and I don't know if my card is still valid. I shall have to go and check it out to see. Thanks for the tip.Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0

Thanks for the advice! I never earn much on mine but 'every little helps'. I like the way you can use any points at all towards the bill - even if you only have 5p.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

Ill remember to use my points up, anyone know if theres still points on the card would we lose them or would they get transfered to vouchers0

I've got a clubcard that's got about £19 on it. However, what I want to buy is £25. Can I make up the extra with cash or is it like the Boots card where you can't?

Just found it on the Smiths website and you can make up the extra and even better the book is reduced. Just hoping it's reduced instore as well!0 -
what was also good about this scheme was that even when you spent points you actually still earned points back for every full pound spent!!
has anyone seen feb 09 confirmed anywhere in writing such as their website yet?0 -
I've registered my details online with Smiths and was sent 4 vouchers via e-mail to use. They were £5 off when you spend £12 on stationery and cards, £5 off when you spend £10 on Kids books, £5 off when you spend £20 (excl entertainment) and £5 off when you spend £10 on ANY book.
They seem quite good offers, the stationery one is good for me at the moment with back to school. The vouchers are all valid until December and I printed out a couple of each. Can't use at the same time but I live near to a Smiths so its not out of the way to get to.
I think there's a link on the Smiths homepage you can use to register.0
