    Heya!
Just wanted to pop in and tell you how well you sound like you're doing!
I have no idea about things really but you really do sound clued up what with the ebaying and the car boot sales! Well done.
You sound really motivated and its great that you have your hubby on board, even if he is being a bit manly and overlooking the paperwork and stuff that you've done!
I shall enjoy reading your thread and hope that your debt busting is really successful!!

Make sure you take care of yourself, don't exhaust yourself because thats when things go wrong, your health is the most important thing;)

Hi Indebt, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. You sound very organised and motivated though. My mother also has breast cancer and she's on incapacity benefit. She's a little embarrassed about being 'on the sick' but that's what you pay taxes for when you're well. Did you claim this when you were off work? If not, I have no idea whether it can be claimed retrospectively. Would you be able to claim anything now, maybe income support?
Anyway, well done on getting the second barcaycard into three figures, must feel great!

    Hello lovely,

I think it's definitely worth you speaking to CCCS for some free unbiased advice

If you started a DMP with them a lot of the interest would be frozen and you'd be able to pay it off quicker.

    Here's their contact details:

My hubby was the same honey - heck *I* felt like that too, but better that you let one person who can really help you know all about it than all your neighbours know because you've got bailiffs banging down the door. :D ( That's a joke - I don't mean to be scary I promise.:o )

Call CCCS honey. Honestly you won't regret it, and they can really help you.

We didn't end up doing what they suggested in the end, but it was massively helpful to have someone explaining all our options to us, and I asked loads (and loads) of questions. There aren't many places that you can get free accurate advice like that.

(Payplan, National Debtline and the CAB are some more good places to look for help, but I tend to recommend CCCS cos my experience with the CAB has been patchy and I have no experience of the others.)
