I'm not an expert, so can't offer any real help, other than to say well done for starting to sort things out.
I'd give up on the tv insurance though, and if your telly blows up again, look for one on freecycle. It won't be the newest model out, but there's usually some decent sized ones floating around, and if it's watchable it doesn't matter how old it is.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Nope we dont go out, We dont have treats we clear over £2500 in the last 6 months. And last night we made up our mind that we gonna clear the debt asap. Dont like living the live of watching the pennys. We have just finish doing the house up. We put in a cheapest kitchen and bath room suit, hubby done most of it. Need a new fench in back garden which cost over £1000 to do. Which went on a credit card but it need doing cos people from the road could see in the garden. I didnt feel safe,
I had to give up work in september last year for 8 months due to having breast cancer and we live on ebay and credit cards. Which now i back at work doing 28 hrs a week. Still weak and feeling low but im doing all this cos i want to be debt free one day. And i will.

    Sorry i stop rant,
