    I have been making DH liver and onions for years - he has only just told me that "I do not really like liver!" GRRH!

    Still it is sweet that he has dutifully eaten it for all this time before finally saying something.

    Please don't take offence to a veggie asking these questions! I have no desire to complain about meat eating in any way! I'm just curious.
    I was a veggie for 11 years until I saw the light and I know what you mean. I couldnt see why people could eat meat and not eat everything out of that animal. I also couldnt tell the difference after a while between one meat and another. To be they all smelt the same and they all just looked like 'meat'.

    I cn't explain it though. It's just the thought of it being a brain or intestine that puts me off. Having said that, I love pork scratchings when some people might think they are horrible.

    He sounds like a good un! :rotfl: My DH did the same with a pasta dish I used to make loads when we first met. It took him ages to say he didn't like the vodka in it! (Some recipe from a cookery programme on tv!)

    and you know that bit under the parsons nose (of the chicken or goose or duck or turkey) that you boil up to make stock? lol - i doubt i need to elaborate ; )
  • btw we also used to blow up the bladder for a balloon - and used to fight over the pigs tail which would be roasted and then dipped in whatever we fancied - we would suck it for days!

    For me personally, I don't like the taste of liver or kidneys. I have never tried any other parts as I don't think I'd like them.

    I like liver and kidney to eat. But don't ask me to touch either of them... when I last sliced liver I found it utterly disgusting

    Put some flour in a plastic bag and add the liver then shake till the liver is coated. It is then much easier to handle icon7.gif

    Homemade faggots are far superior to shop bought. I am having a little trouble locating my recipe, but it's here somewhere. When I find it I shall post it on the recipe thread.

    Someone mentioned Ox-tail. Something else I haven't had for ages. Oxtail stew. Another dish to add to the meal plan.
    Would some one tell us how to cook pig brains please
