Dog Crates (merged)

Have you tried Pets at Home, local pet shop or Argos, I know you can reserve stuff there, maybe pick up on your way to collect the puppy in one of the bigger stores?
Also if you have a CWG nearby they always seem to hold loads of stock and I know they used to do dogcrates!
The other thing is to check small ads in local papers, local internet sites and pick up on ebay, only thing is disinfect a 2nd hand crate really well.......
What kind of puppy is it? Obviously going to be a big dog:rotfl:

Tried those you mentioned...no sloping ones only square ones.
We were offered a second hand sloping one yesterday, from a friend of a friend who was selling theirs, but our soon to be new vet advised caution as it had been used by 2 dogs previously and with the new pup not having had his jags yet, there was cause for concern about nasties lurking no matter how well we cleaned it. Perhaps only a very slight risk but after reading about poor Lola on another thread here, we didn't want to take the chance.
So, we ended up buying a smaller square one which will have to do for bringing the pup home in. The pet shop reckoned it would do until he was about 6 months so I'd better make sure I take him out in the car regularly to make sure I get my money's worth.
He's a labrador btw.0 -
Believe it or not, i spotted one on Amazon yesterday . Sorry dont have the link , but if you go to the pet section and look through you should find it .0

Plenty of scope for selling on the crate on ebay after the pup's outgrown it, I'd reckon...
I'm sure you'll have loads of fun with the pup - our lab pup is 9 months now, and still a joy!

I don't know how much a dog crate should cost
but it said the prices include 48 hours postage & delivery or pay an extra fiver for 24 hour delivery.
HTH and I hope you get your problem sorted.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Hi,
We have a 14 week old Bullmastiff puppy. We've been looking into getting him a crate however, we've read mixed reviews.
Can anyone give me their opionions and views on the crate?
