which two new mobiles
I am about to retire and will lose my office mobile - it's like losing my right arm.
My wife has an LG handset with a 3 PAYG sim card - does the job for her limited needs and I suspect I could put any other service provider's sim card in it.
I expect to make 2 or 3 calls a day and the same in texts (although maybe more) once I retire. Most calls will be to my wife when I am out or from her to my phone.
So which phone should I go for to get best value for me assuming that using a single service provider is going to be cheaper if I get a new sim card for her phone?
Hope that makes sense. I know little about mobiles other than using them - dont want internet access although an external memory card with satnav might be on the agenda.
Can't even work out whether I should get a PAYG or a low committment contract.
All advice appreciated

to be fair with that limited use i'd go with an O2 sim as £10 top up get you lots of free texts and would suit your needs. or you could go simplicity which is a 30 day contract and prices start from £15 p mth which gives minutes and texts. then you can buy a cheap p&g phone.0
