Make the exact same loaf but add three teaspoons of cinnamon with your ingredients and then add three ounces (75 grams) of sultanas at the beep.Petal wrote:OMG! I've made an edible loaf! I too got my Panasonic BM last week (Thursday) and I've been using it ever since! I'm beginning to think I'm obsessed with it. Every loaf has turned out great except the one I put on timer last night which was a bit wonky (don't know the cause?) but it still tasted delicious (using Dove's Organic Granary). I've been following the recipes to the letter except I don't use vitamin C and I did a 70/30 wholemeal/white mix on a rapid bake which it said not to do (I found the 70/30 mix gave a more easy to cut* loaf). I think you've just got a experiment. I want to make the spicy fruit loaf next but I haven't got any mixed fruit  until I do a shop tomorrow.
*Anyone think it's worth getting one of those Lakeland evenslice things?0 -
From Squeaky's Big Book of How To Slice Bread...
Be gentle. Don't press because you'll squash the bread out of shape and so get an uneven slice.
Let the knife do the work so that with your gentle touch you get time to see if the knife is going off line and can correct it.
THEN get a lakeland bread slicer thingy

Do you mean if the aforementioned doesn't work to get it?

We've got a thread about slicing bread somewhere and if I find it again I'll point you to it, but essentially most of those people who have one think it's very useful.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Thanks Squeaky and Carol.
Billieboy - did the rapid bake work out OK? I was thinking of doing one last night but then someone suggested trying the French.

It sure did. I haven't tried it with the timer yet as that's another thing they say not to do (thought I might be able to save some electricity doing thatPetal wrote:Thanks Squeaky and Carol.

). Funnily enough, I'm now going to try the French as you've been successful with it and I've got some white flour! Bet you love your BM now! 0 -
