Listings only get pulled for violations if they are reported. There are several possibilities:
1. A random browser reported you
2. Someone is going around searching for 'as new' and reporting them
3. Your competition reported you
It all depends on how bitter you're feeling about the whole thing, and if reporting the other person is worth the trouble. My TV is broken!

a) Up to you. I report anything I see that's "wrong", but if the only way a system can effectively work is if people report when it's in their own interest, then so be it.

To be fair, only about half of those are actually classified as used.
So, in these new times of acting within the spirit, if not the letter of the policy, the 'as new' in the title of new items is not really keyword spamming.
... but that still leaves ca. 6500 items definitely in breach."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I tend not to report anything unless it looks like a scam or fraudulent. Don't see why I should do Ebay job for them. I certainly wouldn't bother reporting people for "As New" or "Ipod like" or other such triviality in the title, doesn't affect me I can read.
There's always these, most of whom add VAT at the end to report:

What I fail to understand as as these searches are so easy to do why Ebay don't just remove them on a daily basis. Well actually I do understand, the reason is they don't actually care about the policies as they make money from the listings, so they only remove those that other people report.0 -
I agree - if it is so easy for us to find the offending listings with a simple search, why can ebay not do this? We pay enough in fees for them!!!
This search always brings up some interesting results....

It's not that straightforward as just removing them all.
e.g. some of the 'VAT' items states "No Vat will be added"
item # 300233394902
some of the 'no paypal' listings are for motors - paypal is not mandatory accepted payment option here."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I know, they were just quick searches put together, Ebay I imagine runs on a database, it wouldn't be difficult to write code to more selectively find offenders, or even to provide someone in Ebay with a list of possible issues to review.0

I don't think ebay even bother to look at some of the listings they pull. A couple of years ago one of mine got pulled for keyword spamming because I said I had similar items in my shop at the end of one of my listings (it wasn't even in the title). I still don't understand it... I'm not a great fan of ebay recently though. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £187,816.19Overpayments since 27.03.19: £54,477.37Moving fund so far £4000 - Premium bonds £9,5000
