Has anyone heard the latest proposals from Europe? The suggestion is that the cost of making a mobile phone call should be cut and instead we pay for receiving calls!
For me, this is ludicrous. I use “pay and go” and the Internet and can make a £10 top-up last in excess of three months. If these proposals go through I would anticipate it costing me a fortune.
I only use my mobile to make calls in an emergency, as I work on my computer all day I use a service called Webcalldirect (www. webcalldirect.com) – I get 300 minutes of free calls to most of Europe and the USA plus unlimited free texts. I use my mobile generally only to receive calls.
Should this proposal be implemented, I could end up spending considerably more than I do currently just answering all those damned marketing calls trying to persuade me that I need a new phone and new contract.
Does anyone know how we register our disapproval of current proposals?
