I'm sorry - I've just checked that link and got a completely different and rubbish search this time. I'll be interested to see what other answers you get though...Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. It would be helpful if the original poster could describe the appearance of the G powder.
I wondered if it could be Gun Powder tea. In which case it would look like greenish grey dry curled leaves or in teabag type sachets. If it's this variety of Green tea then it would be packed in about 100g/125g pack and be used by the teaspoonful in about 1pt of boiling water and brewed for a few minutes. When brewed the leaves open out into quite large tealeaves. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

The thing is Ted - the first search brought up stuff "as written" and most of the results were about it being a supplement. Then after I'd pasted the link into the post I checked it and lo and behold it brought up the kind of things you saw and I've not been able to duplicate that original search since. Bummer. Thanks for checking it though
Simba - is there any writing on the back about an ingredients list or anything else that might help?Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. nope nothing, all it is is a wooden 'boat' filled with little packages of spices with just the name wrote on a little sticker on the front of each bag then the whole thing wrapped in cellophane.... if it helps the other spices that are with it are:
yellow and red curry powder
cinnemon
saffron
cloves
dried hot chillies
black peppercorns
coriander
sesame
then this G/powder0 -
Maybe it's something you sniff.

I was in Kenya earlier this year & brought back spices & mixes (had an argument in the spice market in Mombasa about their 'saffron' which was in fact Turmeric ) there was no G-Powder in my selection, but since Kenya & Zanzibar are in the same area-ish, I'll see if I can contact someone over there & ask them. can't promise, but I'll give it a try0 -
thank you! much appreciated
hmmm wonder if my saffron is actually saffron then lol0
