Anyone find a better deal (what a challenge!)?
Hi All,
I'm looking for a new mobile, primarily for use as a PDA/Sat Nav device. I've settled on an Orange C550, but wondered if anyone had seen any hot deals on this phone?
The best I've come across is one with a term cost of £170. I know I could buy the thing on PAYG for about £150, but I wouldn't get a bunch of free minutes/texts, so the contract one looks more attractive.
Any thoughts?
Cheers in advance.

theres a couple of deals at OSPS with minimum terms of £100 and £110 for the C550 via 7 month free line rental deals
but it's OSPS so buyer beware, maybe get CPW to match it(I know they are the same thing but CPW still outweigh OSPS customer service and reliability wise)0 -
Try Onestopphoneshop but read other posts about them first.0

Many thanks both of you! Took me ages to work out what OSPS meant!
It also shows how carefully you need to read the Ts&Cs - thought all these offers were 'half price line rental' - not free...
Thanks again.

OSPS are fine if you follow the rules. To infinity and beyond!0 -
Yeah see my other posts, could've had SPV C550 on yp200 for £15 /month for 6 months, direct not cashback AND £100 credit for my old phone!........seek and ye shall findeth!
Gloat Gloat.........ps I went for the SE750i on the same terms instead as its got a better camera, but a tough choice though admittedly, consindering the MS operating system of the spv, and sat nav looks a cool apllication to have,... NO stop IT I'm gonna regret getting the k75oi at this rate........lol! The MS Duo looks like the flash media to opt for now the psp is out, trans flash looks a bit iffy now!
Good Luck!0 -
There will be same fantastic offer this Christmas worth a wait;)0

most of the time
I wasn't just inferring about the claiming of cashback, more the issues people have with their stock control/delivery and terms changing between order delivery type issues that are very apparent from other topics both here and on other forums. I think you can't argue that the consensus on OSPS has always been they offer very good deals, and if it goes smoothly they are unbeatable, but they have serious problems with customer service and their processes.0 -
Osps have cashbacks which unofficially tie you on the tarriff for 12 months, when other cashbacks pay up at month 6/7 allowing you to downgrade if required, especially usefull with Orange.0
