Contracts and phones ideas for treavellers?

Hi there,

I hope someone can help I seem to be sinking in a sea of mobile offers.

I work offshore around there world, and I am often away for a month to 6 weeks. What I am looking for is a good deal on a phone with xnetwork minutes, that can be rolled over when I am away. Preferably cheaper international calls would also be good. And good camera phone to use on my travels, the Sony K850 seems to have been given good reviews.

Up until now I have had a PAYG so I am new to the contract game in which the offers seem to be endless and varied. So any help or suggestions would be great.

carphonewarehouse talk mobile, call them £6 a month for 50 mins & 50 texts on sim only...take that over 18 months and you can get it for £2.50 with no handset...works for me

buy "extra" bundles of minutes when your home also texts & data...mins below

International calls Unlike other phone packages, with Talkmobile, international calls from the UK can be taken out of your monthly bundle.
Calls will be deducted from your bundle in the following way:

Landlines – a 1 minute call to an international landline is deducted as a 1 minute UK call.
Mobiles – a 1 minute call to an international mobile is deducted as a 2 minute UK call.

There are some exceptions to this, e.g. calls to US landlines & mobiles are deducted at the same rate as calls made within the UK. International call rates outside your bundle start from as little as 20p per minute "
