ryanair priority boarding

On my Ryanair flights last week and this week, the 'priority' queue was as long (or longer) than the normal queue. Even though I was in the normal queue and at least 50 priority people had got on the plane before us, both I (and the person I was travelling with) got extra leg room seats. And on both flights there were still extra leg room seats left empty throughout the flight.
The only problem that I have come across with boarding late, is if you have a small suitcase that you need to store overhead, the lockers can get a bit full.
Good to see they are making 50 extra £8 from the mugs
